Who Is Northwest Plumbing?

Northwest Plumbing is a family and employee owned company serving home and business owners since 1956.  From it’s start as pretty much a one-man operation by company founder J.P. “Junior” Mahaffey, Northwest Plumbing has grown to become one of the largest residential plumbing contractors in the Southeast.

Northwest Plumbing got it’s start in Atlanta, Georgia.  After becoming a well-known name in the commercial and industrial construction and service industry, the Mahaffey family made the decision to bring their expertise to the residential home building market.  Partnering with some of the most well known home builders in the nation, Northwest Plumbing now designs and installs quality, affordable plumbing systems in homes throughout the Southeast.

The Northwest Plumbing Tampa branch opened in 2004.  Tampa was our third location in Florida, after Jacksonville and Orlando.  We started exclusively in the new home market.  Believe it or not, we actually turned down numerous requests to get involved in the consumer service side of the business.  We just weren’t sure we could provide the level of quality we wanted and still maintain our high standards for our home builder customers.  Rather than take that chance, we decided to wait.
